Supreme Court bars ministers, bureaucrats from holding top posts in BCCI

Supreme Court, BCCI, Lodha Committee, verdict
New Delhi :

Supreme Court on Monday barred ministers and other bureaucrats from securing top posts in BCCI. This comes under the recommendations made by Lodha Committee.

The court has also upheld one state one vote principal used for the election of BCCI president.

A six-month time frame has been granted to BCCI to make all the necessary changes. Lodha Committee has been asked to over see the transitions.

Meanwhile, justice RM Lodha dubbed the verdict as great day for Indian cricket.

'The report is exhaustive and i am sure BCCI will implement the changes at the earliest,' said Lodha.
