Google officially announces name for Android N
Google has finally announced the official name for upcoming Android N. The new operating system will be called Android Nougat.
The new name falls in the saga of company naming its versions after delicious deserts.
It all started with Android 1.5 Cupcake, followed by Android 1.6 Donut, Android 2.0 Eclair, Android 2.2 Froyo, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The pattern continued with Android 3.0 Honeycomb, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, Android 4.4 KitKat, Android 5.0 Lollipop, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Android N was announced during last month's developer conference I/O. Google had asked people for suggestions to name Android N.
The new operating system is designed with updates like multi-window support, enhanced notifications, revamped doze, number blocking, and more.
Google announced the new name via Twitter, but official release date still remains the mystery as we have got no words over it.Published On : Jul 01, 2016 09:11 AM
